More Fun This Summer and Save at the Same Time
Summer is considered to be the most expensive time of the year. We think of this of summer because we usually incur hidden and spontaneous expenses that we never thought of that we will spend. Summer is the time when our children are more at home since school is done, and so we have to get them into activities to fill up their time, make our homes comfortable for them, and you will note that there will be more frequent household chores like washing to do, and these will all boil to expenses and money to spend.
But for all you know, you can consider summer as a season to practice saving some costs and become thrifty. Thus we came up with some great money saving ways that can make you further enjoy summer and at the same time have fun during the season.
We all know that going to amusement parks spells fun for all kids but in the process you have to shell out money for the admission tickets. So our suggestion is you get some free fun using your community park, have a picnic with your kids, play some baseball or soccer on the field, and so on, and everybody will have fun without you spending for admission tickets.
Another idea to be thrifty during summer is by getting a programmable thermostat and changing the filter, this way you will still be cool but not spending so much of your electricity.
During summer, it is high time to conduct weather stripping to fill up gaps in your doors and windows, and thus you will not be wasting electricity through these leaks and consequently not paying so much wasted money.
Kids plus the hot season of summer that makes everybody change more often would mean constant washing. And so, it would be wise to save energy by buying a washer and dryer that is economical and energy efficient.
We always love going on a vacation somewhere or go to a place we always wanted to go, but this would mean large expenses especially if it involves the whole family. And so to keep your costs down this summer, we suggest a family that goes camping, explore your surroundings, have fun setting up the tents with the kids, make a bonfire and sing around it, and so on.
We all love to eat out and we cannot imagine living without going out sometimes. The suggestion here is to limit the frequency of your eating out and try cooking at home to save you plenty of money. Shake up your kitchen by cooking at home and have a themed dinner in some nights, like an Italian night, or burger night or barbeque at the yard, and so on.
