Battery cellphone

The battery of my cellphone is empty after just one day.
That bothers me as the one of my former phone lasted at least 3 days, and when I remember well, could do without charging for 5 days.
Today the cellphones were in the news because some providers have raised the prices about 60% during the last [...]

Too expensive

One of my best friends, Laane, has some dreams for a very long time.
One of them is to go to Africa.
Her group of friends would love to be able to make her go there, but we can’t afford a whole trip.
Then I saw that at the Afrika Museum it’s possible to sleep a night [...]

1 million euros!!

Haha… the title of yesterdays post and the one of today.
Well, today someone throw 3,73 euro in a gambling machine and he won over one million euros.
I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw it in the paper.
Do you know how to read out loud: 1.675.005,15 euro
Well, the guy who won it knows that by [...]

Gold by mail

I saw an advertisement on Tv about gold.
People could send their gold and receive money.
It sounds like a scam and I wonder if it is.
Never would I send something gold to an unknown address even not when I needed loads of money.
Has anyone done it?

Vacation as a single parent

Many friends are planning their vacation.
One of them found out that instead of booking with the whole family he gets better accomodation for less money when both parents book as single parent with children.
Well, maybe knowing this is of help for you too.

good testing

Making good tests is an art in itself. Especially tests for final exams.
It turned out that the national test construction organisation hasn’t been able to develop proper tests for economics.
Over and over again questions were deleted or valued in a different way.
The result is that students are receiving higher marks.
Complaining about that is not the [...]

Flying, economics or safety.

Airtraffic due to the vulcanis dust of the Eyjafjallajokul is still down.
Companies start to complain about the economical costs, and in Germany planes are already flown over to other airports to enable transport to start as soon as possible. Empty planes, because it’s still not considered safe to fly with passengers.
The planes flew below 3000 [...]

The new flu season

Guestpost by Laane from Laane on the World and Laane Loves
Everyone agrees: they’ve made a mess of the way they’ve dealt with the mexican flu.
Too many people alarmed, sketching a far too serious scenario, and spending far too much money on vaccines that were never used.
Only Spain and the UK were hit bad by the [...]

Do you accept $1 for a blogpost?

I wonder why people accept to write a commercial blogpost for $1.
Maybe there’s someone who can explain that to me.
I’m sure that when all bloggers would stand up against such idiotic low payment prizes would go up.
I think advertisers are using bloggers for their own good, with a big smile on their faces.
They’re able to [...]

Savings on protection

This evening I had a discussion with one of my fellow autism ambassadors and she said something that made me think: “We’re all responsible for what we say.”
Now everyone has the shakes about cut backs I wonder if what she said should be a general rule, for everyone.
Inclusing socalled politicians who just say what they [...]
